Brendan gained his CPL/IR in New Zealand in 2004 before going on to fly for air charter companies based out of Botswana, Zambia and Tanzania from 2006 to 2012. This involved flying tourists and cargo into and out of high end luxurious Safari lodges throughout Southern and East Africa. In 2012, Brendan returned to Ireland to undertake the EASA licence conversion and last year added the instructor rating to his licence. Brendan has been with Waterford Aero Club since September 2014.
Our Chief Flying Instructor, Andrew, gained his PPL in 2007 and became a Flight Instructor in 2011. Andrew began his days at Waterford Aero Club washing aircraft and cutting grass and quickly progressed after gaining his Commercial Pilots Licence. He is currently the Nominated Person for the HT position of Flight Training at Waterford Aero Club. In addition to SEP and Instruction privileges, Andrew holds an ATPL with MEP, TMG, and Flight Examiner Qualifications. He is also actively flying the ATR42/72 with Type Rating Instructor Privileges.
