Full Membership of the Waterford Aero Club is €300 annually, reduced to €270 if paid in January.
During January, a discounted membership rate of €270 is on offer to encourage early subscription renewals. After January, the membership rate is €300. This rate is among the lowest in the country. For this fee, you can train and hire our three Cessna 172 aircraft, attend our social events and fly-ins, as well as enjoying cheap flying from a friendly airport.
As well as a Full Membership, Waterford Aero Club also offer an Associate Membership option for non-fliers, aircraft enthusiasts, and a pilot’s friends and family. This form of membership costs €50 per annum and is perfect for anybody who does not fly but would like to enjoy the Club’s facilities and attend our social events.
For younger enthusiasts, we have a Junior Membership for under 16s costing €20 per annum.

You will also need to get an Airside pass (AIC) to gain access to the airside areas at Waterford Airport. This is not needed to begin your training but it can take 6-8 weeks to process so we recommend applying as soon as you become a member.
If you already hold an AIC for Dublin, Cork or Shannon this can be used instead of a Waterford airport AIC. To apply for a Waterford Airport AIC you need to:

2. Register for and complete Waterford airport local procedures training: https://www.waterfordairporttraining.com/. Print off the certificate and include it with your application form.
3. Complete the AIC application / vetting form: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/x8z7jc3bjpxosukv3tlxs/WAC-club-joining-instructions.pdf
