The Night Rating is an add-on to your licence which allows you to fly during night hours in VMC.
The Night Rating is an extremely popular addition to your license because it is a straightforward course and there is no flight examination at the end. The course requires you to do 5 hours of night flying including 3 hours with an instructor. You must complete 5 solo full stop landings. The dual flight time must include a 50 km dual cross-country. When your flight instructor is satisfied by your night flying, he or she will prepare the paperwork to send to the Aviation Authority.
